A Loving Preschool Community Where Children Grow

St. Andrew Parish School's preschool is a place where young children are known, cared for, and gently guided as they take their first steps into school. Led by experienced teachers who truly love working with this age, our classrooms are warm, joyful, and thoughtfully structured to help children feel safe and confident every day.

We believe preschool should feel like childhood. Children learn through play, stories, songs, hands-on activities, and daily routines that help them understand how to listen, share, follow directions, and care for one another. Kindness, respect, and good behavior are taught patiently and consistently.

As a Catholic preschool, we naturally weave faith into our days through simple prayers, gratitude, and lessons rooted in love, compassion, and respect for others.

We also focus on building strong foundations for school. Children develop early literacy and math skills, strengthen fine-motor coordination, and learn how to participate in a classroom with confidence and independence — all at an age-appropriate pace.

Families value our preschool because children gain:
    •    A sense of belonging and security
    •    Positive behavior and social skills
    •    Confidence in a classroom setting
    •    Excitement about learning

We would be honored to welcome your child into our preschool family.

School Mass Attendance

School Mass attendance begins in 4K. Our 4K students start attending slowly; increasing to two times a month, then weekly. This is to prepare our students for attending Mass weekly beginning in Kindergarten. School Masses are on Wednesdays unless noted otherwise. Students are paired up with a Prayer Buddy who sits with them during Mass and helps them follow along, stay reverent, and learn the parts of Mass. Students and their buddies also meet regularly for activities during the school day developing lasting friendships.

Emergency Response Drills

While we never expect an emergency at school, we prepare all of our students, including 3K and 4K, in case an emergency arises. St. Andrew’s Parish School as three types of Emergency Response Drills. We practice these regularly with monthly fire drills, quarterly tornado drills, and at least two intruder drills per school year. These drills are conducted professionally and at an age appropriate level.

Parent Involvement

Our preschool students attend field trips during the school year. If you would like to chaperone or volunteer in any capacity at St. Andrew’s Parish School, you must have taken the Safeguarding All of God's Children class. These classes are offered throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. St. Andrew’s normally hosts two sessions in the fall and one session in the spring. You are welcome to attend any session. This class does not have to be taken at St. Andrew’s.

Please note, this class is a 3 hour class and needs to be completed in full duration. First time attendees must attend in person. The certification is valid for 5 years. The renewal process is online. For any questions, please reach out to our Safe Environment Coordinator, Shelley Koch at 262-728-5922 ext. 101 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Our preschool students have several class parties throughout the year. Teachers normally ask for donations and possible volunteers to ensure our parties run smoothly. Another way to get involved in the classroom and beyond is through our Parent Volunteer Association (PVA). One thing that makes St. Andrew Parish School unique is the amount of parent involvement within the school and classrooms. There are many opportunities to help and be present in your child's education.
