We are so happy you are considering joining St. Andrew's Parish School! St. Andrew Parish School is a private, Catholic school located in Delavan, WI serving children from 3K-8th grade. Our current enrollment is 154 students with a student to teacher ratio of 10:1. While our Catholic faith is at the root of what we do, you do not need to be Catholic to attend. We welcome everyone and take pride in our diverse student population.
Academics
We offer research based curriculum programs. Each grade level learns ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion. Our K-8th graders attend specials including Physical Education/Health, Art, Music, and Library. Our 4K students participate in Physical Education/Health and Music.
We have an excellent middle school science/STEM program, Project Lead the Way. Our students experience a variety of topics including the human body, energy, the environment, space, and more. This program helps students uncover their interests and design creative fixes for real-world issues, while building the confidence to tackle challenges on their own.
Technology in the Classroom
At St. Andrew’s Parish School, we are committed to meeting every child exactly where they are in their educational journey. To help us achieve this, we utilize i-Ready, an innovative online program for Reading and Mathematics that provides our teachers with the data they need to help students thrive.
What is i-Ready?
i-Ready is a comprehensive tool consisting of two main parts: a Diagnostic assessment and Personalized Instruction. Unlike traditional tests, i-Ready is "adaptive." This means the questions change based on how your child answers:
- If a student answers correctly, the next question gets slightly harder.
- If they struggle, the next question becomes easier.
This allows us to pinpoint exactly what a student has mastered and where they need more support, whether they are working below, at, or above grade level.
Why We Use It
We chose i-Ready because it supports our "whole-child" approach to education by ensuring no student is left behind or held back.
- Targeted Learning: Once the Diagnostic is complete, i-Ready creates a "My Path" of interactive, engaging lessons tailored specifically to your child’s needs. Students work on these lessons at school as class time allows.
- Empowering Teachers: The program provides our educators with detailed "roadmaps," allowing them to adjust small-group instruction and provide one-on-one support where it matters most.
- Measuring Growth: Because students take the Diagnostic three times a year (Fall, Winter, and Spring), we can celebrate their individual growth and progress over time, rather than just focusing on a single letter grade.
A Partner in the Classroom
It is important to note that i-Ready is a supplement to—not a replacement for—our high-quality, teacher-led instruction. It serves as a digital partner that helps us ensure that every minute of "Skillwork" is purposeful and that every student at St. Andrew's feels confident and motivated in their learning.
Newline Interactive Panels
We are also very excited to announce that thanks to generous donors we were able to replace all of our SmartBoards with the upgraded technology of 75" Newline Interactive Panels. While they may look like large televisions, these panels are actually powerful, "all-in-one" collaborative computers designed to turn passive lessons into active, hands-on experiences.
Why This Matters for Our Students?
These panels are more than just a screen; they are a gateway to deeper engagement. Here is how they are already making an impact:
- Active Participation: With "multi-touch" technology, several students can work together at the board simultaneously—whether they are solving a complex math equation, labeling a map, or collaborating on a creative project.
- Visual Clarity: The 4K Ultra-High Definition display ensures that every student, regardless of where they sit in the classroom, can see lessons with perfect clarity.
- A Healthier Environment: Each panel features antimicrobial glass and blue-light filters, ensuring that our students stay safe and their eyes stay comfortable during the school day.
- Seamless Integration: These boards allow our teachers to instantly bring in resources from the web, educational apps, and virtual field trips, making learning more dynamic and connected to the real world.

Chromebooks & iPads
Our students also utilize Chromebooks and iPads for age appropriate learning via apps and the internet. The purpose and time limits for usage of these devices varies per grade and teacher.
Our Commitment to Purposeful Technology
While we are excited about these new tools, our philosophy remains the same: technology at St. Andrew’s is used to enhance, not replace, the vital connection between teacher and student. The Newline panels allow our educators to spend less time troubleshooting equipment and more time facilitating meaningful discussions and personalized instruction.
Athletics
We currently offer 4 sports; Girl’s Volleyball, Cheerleading, Boys Basketball, and Girls Basketball. We are home to one of the best basketball tournaments in the area, Spartan Spectacular, held every January. We also host a volleyball tournament, Spartan Spiketacular, each year in October.
Band
We offer band through private lessons in conjunction with Delavan Christian and Our Redeemer. Along with St. Andrew’s, these private schools form a larger band which performs a spring concert each year.
Musical
Last year we held our very first school musical production, Annie Kids! This year we are happy to announce our musical will be Between the Lines, Jr. We hope to continue to offer a musical every school year.
Before/After School Care
We are excited to provide before and after school care during the school year through our Spartan Club program. Before school care begins at 7:00 am. After school care ends at 5:15 pm. This program is free for all students thanks to the generous funding of the 21st Century CCLC grant! Spartan Club offers a variety of activities including academic enrichment, tutoring, character development, art, music, sports, clubs, and much more! Transportation home via bus is available for Delavan area residents.
