CONFIRMATION

Confirmation can be celebrated as early as junior year in high school after at least two consecutive years of preparation. There is a two-year class preparation requirement teenagers preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students may enroll for our year one preparation when they are sophomores or juniors in high school. Confirmation is celebrated at the end of the second year of preparation as a junior or senior. Attendance and retreat during year two is required. 

There is no one-year Confirmation program for seniors in high school. Seniors who complete year one of high school preparation will be responsible for finding a second year program. St. Andrew and St. Patrick offers a program for adults and the could count as year two if you choose to finish preparation here. Adult and teenagers have two separate programs. 

Candidates who are celebrating Confirmation in May 2026 must complete the below form for Bishop Schuerman by Sunday, February 15th, 2026.  As per the Archdiocese, all letters must be read by a parish employee prior to mailing ALL letters at the same time to the Bishop.  We must meet our deadline with the Archdiocese and mail the letters we have on time.
